Mindflow
Founded 2021 · Paris, France
Who it’s for
SecOps teams that also automate IT and Cloud Ops, and want every vendor operation as a native step, native case management and a human approval before sensitive actions.
Who it isn’t for
Teams that must self-host in their own data center, run air-gapped or need FedRAMP: Mindflow runs as a dedicated tenant, in Europe by default or in your own AWS account.
Mindflow is an agentic process automation platform for every team, from SecOps, IT and Cloud Ops to business operations. Flows and AI··Agents use 4,000+ native integrations and 200,000+ API operations, built and maintained by Mindflow, sensitive actions wait for a human approval, and every model call and tool call is logged. Mindflow is SOC 2 Type II audited and ISO 27001:2022 certified.
Bottom line
The fit when automation reaches beyond the SOC and stays under human control.
Cortex XSOAR
Palo Alto Networks · began as Demisto, acquired in 2019
Who it’s for
SOCs on Cortex XSIAM, XDR or Cortex Cloud, and US public sector teams that need FedRAMP.
Who it isn’t for
Teams that don’t want to build custom integrations for tools no content pack covers, or to plan a move to Cortex AgentiX.
Cortex XSOAR is a complete SOAR suite: native incidents and layouts, a War Room, Threat Intelligence Management and a playbook editor with debugging and versioning, with 900+ integration and automation packs. Palo Alto presents Cortex AgentiX as its next generation (October 2025).
Bottom line
The reference SOAR inside the Palo Alto ecosystem.
Splunk SOAR
Splunk, a Cisco company · began as Phantom, acquired in 2018
Who it’s for
SOCs that work inside Splunk Enterprise Security and want SOAR in the same console, or need SOAR on-premises, hybrid or FedRAMP Moderate.
Who it isn’t for
Teams on Microsoft Sentinel or several SIEMs, and teams that want to stop maintaining Python playbook code.
Splunk SOAR is Splunk’s security orchestration platform, now also a native capability of Splunk Enterprise Security Premier. Its catalog lists 300+ third-party tools and 2,800+ automated actions, and SOAR agents run in SOAR Cloud with ES 8.6 or later (October 2026).
Bottom line
A natural move for Splunk-centric SOCs, and a narrower one if your SIEM is something else.
FortiSOAR
Fortinet · began as CyberSponse, acquired in 2019
Who it’s for
Teams that must self-host, on-premises or air-gapped, and SOCs built on the Fortinet Security Fabric, including OT.
Who it isn’t for
Teams that don’t want Linux servers, HA nodes or platform upgrades to run, and analysts who don’t write Jinja2 or Python for advanced logic.
FortiSOAR is a full SOC platform with native case management, MITRE ATT&CK mapping, war rooms, 700+ connectors and 6,500+ playbooks. FortiSOAR 8.0 added agentic AI and bidirectional MCP (June 2026).
Bottom line
The strongest option here when the platform must run inside a boundary you operate.

Swimlane Turbine is a low-code security automation and AI SOC platform covering every security function, with 500+ Marketplace connectors, 2,500+ prebuilt playbooks and AI-driven case management (October 2026).
Bottom line
A broad security platform with flexible deployment, including air-gapped.
Tines

Who it isn’t for
Teams that don’t want to configure and maintain HTTP requests for tools without a pre-built template.
Tines is a no-code platform for security and IT automation. It connects tools mainly through its HTTP Request action and pre-built templates, and includes native Cases, Records and Dashboards. It holds SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, ISO 27701 and ISO 42001 (October 2026).

Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to the questions buyers ask us most.
What is a SOAR platform?
Security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) platforms connect security tools, automate response playbooks and manage cases. Newer platforms add AI agents that investigate and act, with human approval on sensitive actions.
Which SOAR platforms run on-premises?
Cortex XSOAR, Splunk SOAR, FortiSOAR and Swimlane Turbine run on-premises, and Tines offers self-hosted Docker images. Mindflow and Torq run as SaaS, and Mindflow can also run in your own AWS account (October 2026).
Which SOAR platforms hold FedRAMP authorization?
Splunk SOAR Cloud is FedRAMP Moderate, and Cortex AgentiX holds FedRAMP Moderate and High. Mindflow is SOC 2 Type II audited and ISO 27001:2022 certified, without FedRAMP (October 2026).
Are AI SOC platforms replacing SOAR?
Most vendors now add AI agents to SOAR rather than replace it: Palo Alto with AgentiX, Splunk with Enterprise Security Premier agents, Fortinet with FortiSOAR 8.0 and Swimlane with Hero AI agents. What changes is who triages and investigates, and how much human approval sits in front of each action.
How we compared
We compared these platforms on the capabilities security teams evaluate in a SOAR platform: case management, integrations and API coverage, building, AI agents and approvals, deployment and certifications. Competitor facts come from each vendor’s website and documentation, and from public review sites where stated; we checked them between October 28 and November 4, 2026. Mindflow facts come from Mindflow’s product and security pages. This page is written by Mindflow.
