Before
A user would search the calendar for the event title, open the matching events, and move them individually from the current organizer's calendar to the destination user's calendar. Repeating this process across multiple events created additional manual handling and increased the chance of missing an event.
How it works
- Receive the current organizer, destination user, and event title, then search the calendar for matching events.
- Review the returned event collection programmatically and process each event in sequence.
- Move every matching event to the designated destination user's calendar.
Workflow details
- Configuration: The workflow receives the current organizer, the destination user, and the event title used to identify the calendar entries that need reassignment.
- Event discovery: It searches the specified calendar for events matching the supplied title and retrieves the resulting event list.
- Batch processing: The workflow iterates through every returned event rather than requiring each event to be handled separately.
- Organizer reassignment: For each event, it performs the calendar move operation using the event identifier and the destination user's calendar details.
- Operational result: The matching events are transferred in one run, creating a consistent handoff of recurring calendar responsibilities without repeated manual calendar changes.
What changed
The event search and calendar transfer now happen as one automated batch process. Each returned event is moved using the configured destination details, so the user no longer has to repeat the same reassignment action for every event.
Work removed
Searching for matching events one by one, opening each event, copying or entering destination calendar details, and manually moving each event to the new organizer's calendar.
Expected outcome
All returned matching events are reassigned in one run, removing one manual calendar move for each event processed.
