Before
A team member would manually write an urgent IT or SOC decision question, prepare the possible answers, and post them in a channel. They would then monitor for a response, interpret the selected option, send a confirmation, and perform the follow-up decision check themselves.
How it works
- Generate an urgent IT or SOC-style question and a set of possible answers.
- Post the question as interactive buttons, capture the selected response, and identify the chosen option.
- Confirm the selection in the channel and check whether it matches option D.
Workflow details
- Question generation: The workflow asks an AI completion service to create an urgent, IT-related question resembling common SOC situations, such as confirming an outage or assigning a ticket, and to return the question with multiple possible answers.
- Interactive message preparation: The generated question and answer choices are extracted and formatted into an interactive channel message, with each possible answer converted into a selectable button.
- Response capture: The interactive question is posted to a channel, and the workflow pauses until a recipient selects one of the available buttons through the generated response link.
- Confirmation and validation: The selected answer is extracted from the response, then a confirmation message is posted stating what the recipient chose. The workflow subsequently checks whether the response matches the designated option D.
- Operational result: A complete decision prompt, response collection, confirmation, and targeted condition check are handled in one repeatable flow, reducing the need for someone to manually compose the question, format the choices, monitor the reply, and restate the selected answer.
What changed
The full question-and-response cycle now runs from generated prompt to confirmed selection without requiring a person to format messages or monitor the channel manually. The response is captured through a button interaction, confirmed automatically, and passed into a defined option check.
Work removed
Manually drafting the decision question, formatting answer choices as interactive buttons, posting the prompt, monitoring for the reply, copying the selected answer into a confirmation message, and checking whether the response is option D.
Expected outcome
At least two channel messages, one response extraction, and one option check are automated for each decision cycle, with no measured customer-performance claim implied.
